Gordon Lightfoot, Borderstone
Well, I feel a wee bit better today. Not great, but not as miserable as last night. I suppose that's progress.
My mind kept wandering during my comm class today, but that's nothing new. Lunch wasn't great, food-wise. Not particularly notable either way socially. Wented to CS, and flat couldn't focus. Shit. I think I'll still do fine on the homework, I have the book and the assignmnet's online, but I wish that my concentration wasn't shot all to hell. After CS, I went back to my room to listen to Gordon Lightfoot and try to get myself back into a reasonable frame of mind to face the rest of my day. Then I went back to the CS lab to do one of my make-up assignments. Yee hah. It didn't take that long, really.
Went and turned in the make-up, and went to choir. That went fairly well. It wasn't even that bad to stand next to Jessica. I like most of the music we're singing this term, except for one stupid thing from a musical. I really dislike musicals, I have ever since I took Musical Theatre Workshop my freshman year. Yay mental scars. I really couldn't handle a class that wanted me to act at all sexual at that point in my life, and that class didn't jibe well with that. I just couldn't handle any kind of sexual expression then, even in theatre. So walking across the stage and trying to emulate a prosititute or anything of that sort was simply out of the question. Anyway, to this day I don't like musicals.
After choir, I made a quick stop by the boffer war (gamers hitting each other with foam weapons) and then went back to my room. Then Alison stopped by. I hadn't seen year in over six months, so that was neat. She graduated last spring. She'd moved to California, but she just moved back. So we went to Wendy's. We took my car. When we got there, we discovered that Jessica had left the car sloppily parked and unlocked. Grr. She has now had her car privilages revoked for good. I'm tempted to not even let her be a passenger for a bit, but I think that that has more to with me being mildly mad at her in general. Anyway. After Alison and I got back from Wendy's, we went off and found Jeff and Becca. I hadn't talked to Becca in a really long time either. It was kind of interesting. Not really like last year, you can't go back and anyway, Sean wasn't there (not that things would ever be the same even if he had been). Eventually Jeff and I left, and we talked for a bit in my room. Then he wandered off to Jesse's room, and I did also shortly thereafter.
Now Alice and Jeff are talking in my room and I'm listening to filk music. Yay me.
Not much meaningful to say today folks, sorry.
